In full-line furniture stores, medians of both share of total sales and share of selling space have increased since 2015: That year, the median share of total sales was 2%; in 2016, it was 5%. For share of selling space, in 2015, the median was 2%; in 2016, it was 7%.
About the data
Casual Living’s 2017 Furniture Store Survey explores outdoor furniture merchandise mix data within the full-line furniture store channel. Companies representing 103 storefronts participated in the survey. Data reflects the fiscal year ending closest to December 31, 2016. The findings contained in this report are qualitative in nature. They are derived from a small sample of respondents and should not be projected in numeric terms to larger populations. The findings are directional and should be considered descriptive rather than explanatory
