Reading online consumer reviews is the top research method for consumers, with 75% reading them before purchasing an outdoor furniture product, according to Casual Living’s 2017 Outdoor Consumer Survey. The survey also found that when shopping for outdoor furniture, 28% of consumers say outdoor furniture products are too large for their space.
About the data
Casual Living fielded an online consumer survey this August. The survey, inquiring about outdoor spaces, garnered responses from 514 consumers, including 156 Millennials, 198 members of Generation X and 160 Baby Boomers. The survey was conducted and analyzed by PBM Strategic Insights.
