Furniture/Today has introduced a feature called, On the Water, which offers a look at furniture import activity based on twenty-foot equivalent (TEU) container traffic arriving at U.S. ports. In January the report examined how the United States received imported furniture last year from four key Asian sources - China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Data revealed the top carriers and U.S. ports sending and receiving furniture from each of the four key Asian sources. In March, On the Water focused on furniture shipments leaving Malaysia by TEUs, as well as the busiest Malaysian ports shipping furniture. Furniture/Today partnered with Zepol Corp. to gather the data using information from the bills of lading for containers being shipped.
