With the bedding stores category weakened last year by Mattress Firm, the specialty stores on the Top 100 didn’t completely dominate their conventional store counterparts as was the case last time. The 27 specialty stores on the list — same number as the year before — did have a better sales year, though, combining for a 4.7% gain and total furniture bedding and accessory sales of $21.01 billion.
