When we began tracking gift retailing data 10 years ago, gift and decorative accessories retailers were just beginning to use the Internet as a resource and sales tool. Then, about 13% of retailers were experimenting with online sales. And other than email and some research, the Internet was not used for much else. That has changed, and dramatically so, as this "Today's Gift Retailer" survey shows. Collected during March, this year's exclusive survey is based on the mailed, faxed and online responses of more than 325 gifts and decorative accessories retailers.
