There is good reason to be optimistic in the housewares industry in 2018. Buying intentions across all major demographic groups are fairly strong, with Millennials, not surprisingly, showing the most inclination and desire to purchase housewares in 2018.
In this fourth annual HFN The Housewares Consumer Speaks report, respondents talk about their shopping behaviors and attitudes across four categories: bakeware, kitchen tools and gadgets, food processors and smart housewares. Some of what consumers reveal includes how they shop for these products, which retailers and websites they are most likely to shop, and future purchasing plans for items in these categories.
About the data
HFN asked representative samples of consumers about the housewares categories of bakeware, kitchen tools and gadgets, smart housewares and food processors, in two exclusive online surveys in December 2017. The surveys garnered 504 responses about bakeware and kitchen gadgets and 498 responses for smart housewares and food processors.
