This report originally published in the September/October 2015 print issue of Kids Today Four out of 10 moms are most likely to purchase a twin-sized bed. One in five moms will buy a full-size bed, and as the child becomes a teen, that number increases to three in 10. That's one of the key findings from the 500 moms that answered the exclusive 2015 Youth Furniture survey from Kids Today and Mom Central Consulting. Following the twin and full bed, a bunk bed is the most purchased, among 12% of all respondents. Eleven percent of moms will most likely buy a queen-size bed for a child 15 years of age and older. Seven out of 10 moms are more likely to purchase a bed that is more transitional versus one with a kid-friendly style. This is relatively consistent for all income levels, age of moms and regions where moms live. Kids Today partnered with Newton, Mass.-based Mom Central Consulting in June to ask moms about youth furniture. The online survey fielded to Mom Central's proprietary panel of moms and gathered 500 responses. The results presented within this report are for youth furniture only. The upcoming November/December issue of Kids Today will feature the results on nursery linens. Mom Central Consulting is a premier social media agency specializing in marketing to moms and maintains a core panel of more than 12,000 moms. The research was collected and analyzed by Kids Today's market research department. *3 pages*
