Furniture/Today's On the Water report, offers a look at furniture import activity based on twenty-foot equivalent (TEU) container traffic arriving at U.S. ports. In July the report examined the U.S. furniture import shipments from Asia for the first half of this year, as well as the top U.S. ports receiving furniture. On the Water for August focused on furniture shipments leaving Malaysia by TEUs for three quarters of 2011 as well as the first two quarters of 2012.

The report revealed the top U.S. ports receiving furniture from Malaysia for that same time period. Also included were the top five furniture products imported from Malaysia in 2011. And, in September the focus was on furniture shipments from Indonesia, including the top Indonesian ports shipping furniture, the top U.S. ports receiving furniture, the wholesale vessel value of furniture shipments and the total U.S. imports from Indonesia. Furniture/Today partnered with Zepol Corp. to gather the data using information from the bills of lading for containers being shipped.
