According to the most recent projections by New York-based Easy Analytic Software Inc. (EASI), lamp sales are expected to grow by 14.1% over the next five years. The report includes state-by-state estimates of 2009 lamp sales and projections of 2014 sales.

It also includes sales and projections for the fastest-growing markets within each of the four census regions and the fastest-growing metros. Home Accents Today market research worked with EASI to develop 2009 sales estimates and 2014 projections for lamps. The 2009 sales estimates are based on data available through August 2009 and are subject to revision as additional data become available. Estimates are based on information from the Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, sales estimates from manufacturers and retailers, Furniture/Today and HGTV's 2009 Consumer Views Survey, as well as discussions with industry executives and analysts.
