Nearly two-thirds of consumers answering Casual Living’s 2016 exclusive Outdoor Survey use a neutral color palette for their outdoor living areas. Twenty-six percent use bright colors, and only 9% use pastels. More than half of consumers use brown as their neutral color, while 26% use gray. Over three-quarters of consumers describe their outdoor living area style as traditional or contemporary. Consumers also enjoy a pop of color in their outdoor living areas. Blues are the most popular choice, with 29% using it. Twenty-two percent of consumers use yellow for a pop of color.
About the data
Casual Living fielded an online consumer survey this July. The survey, inquiring about outdoor spaces, garnered responses from 400 female consumers.
