Casual Living Fabric Survey 2016
Product Description
This report originally appeared in the January 2016 print issue of Casual Living
Color tops the list of the most important factors casual retailers discuss with consumers, according to Casual Living’s exclusive 2016 Fabric Survey. After color, retailers talk durability, followed by coordinating fabrics within a group. Casual designers most often discuss color, design and patterns with clients.
Fielded in October and November, Casual Living’s annual fabric survey presents 2016 fabric color and pattern projections for outdoor furniture retail stores and designers. Respondents represented more than 100 store fronts.
Fifty-three percent of responding retailers have locations in the South, 21% percent in the Northeast, 16% in the West and 10% in the Midwest.
Three out of 10 respondents garnered less than $1 million in annual sales for 2015, 37% had between $1 million and $4.99 million and 22% had $5 million to $9.99 million. Twelve percent of respondents recorded $10 million or more in annual sales for 2015.
