This exclusive report presents an in-depth look at how consumers shop for mattresses and how consumers and retail sales associates connect at retail. It includes data on using mattress product reviews, what makes product reviews credible, using smartphones while mattress shopping, using QR codes, what buyers think of male and female retail bedding associates and the best and worst part of mattress shopping.

Per the data, product reviews are important to 82% of consumers shopping for a mattress. And, nearly half of shoppers use reviews to research bedding brands. Furniture/Today found out these data points and more as part of an exclusive survey conducted earlier this year among female consumers who had shopped for or bought a mattress in the last 12 months.

Furniture/Today fielded an online survey to female mattress shoppers and buyers earlier this year. The exclusive survey explored how consumers shop for mattresses and garnered responses from 750 female shoppers and buyers.

Furniture/Today conducted telephone interviews with mattress retail sales associates (RSAs) in 2015. The outreach asked RSAs how they interface with mattress shoppers during the selling responses. The survey garnered responses from 100 sales associates.
