Home accents imports hit $16.9 billion in 2014, a 5.9% increase from the previous year, according to the latest data from the U.S. Customs Service, U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. International Trade Commission. Home Accents Today's research department collected import figures on the categories of area rugs, lamps, lighting, mirrors, wall décor and permanent botanicals. Due to the broad definition of decorative accessories, Home Accents Today chose not to report import figures for the category.
